Prepare product information alongside the purchase rather than waiting until goods arrive. A shared record makes it easier to keep a listing consistent with the exact version you ordered.
Identify the saleable item
Record its SKU, variant, material, dimensions and included accessories. Separate what is supplied from props shown in photographs. If a characteristic remains unconfirmed, keep it as a question instead of turning it into a product claim.
Prepare photographs you may use
Ask for permission to use supplier photographs or create your own images. Check that they show the purchased variant. Include useful detail views, dimensions where appropriate and the packaging the buyer will actually receive. Do not present a rendered example as a photograph of stock you have inspected.
Write from confirmed information
Explain the product’s use, contents and relevant limitations in plain language. Avoid translating a supplier’s promotional claims into guarantees. Compare the description with the order specification and inspection findings before making it public.
Prom’s official safety guide advises sellers to describe goods honestly, including relevant shortcomings, and to dispatch as agreed. This article provides a preparation workflow; it is not a complete statement of marketplace rules.
Keep availability and delivery information aligned
Distinguish stock already received from an expected inbound shipment in your own records. Use confirmed information when setting buyer expectations, and update the description if the supplied variant changes. Keep transaction and shipment records organised by order.
Perform a final consistency check
Compare the title, photographs, attributes, included items and delivery wording. Ask whether a buyer could reasonably expect something that is not supplied. Correct that mismatch before publishing.
Plan a small test batch, prepare inspection requirements or discuss your sourcing request.
